Learn about wellness with Isa Welly

2020 taught us a lot about self care and mental health. It also taught us that moving our body is essential to feeling like a human being.  After spending more time than ever at home, most of us suddenly found everyday activities like running to catch the bus or going up and down the office stairs replaced by trips from the couch to the fridge, and the soreness from working out replaced by the muscle aches of sitting in front of our computer for hours.

Being so sedentary for months gave a lot of us a new appreciation for wellbeing, mental and physical. We learned that there is no shame in taking care of our mental health and that a good work-life balance can also include self care. And if you are among those of us who want to add more wellness into your life, all you have to do is grab a mat, your phone or computer and go on YouTube.

Introducing your new wellness coach: Isa Welly.
Nutritional Therapist and Wellness Coach, she is “dedicated to helping you achieve holistic wellbeing through mind, body and spirit alignment!”

Isa Welly is from Togo, she studied in Paris, France, where at age 22, she ditched her business classes to realize her dream of becoming a professional dancer. She then started touring the world with stars like Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Snoop Dogg and Chaka Khan.

“It was incredible. It really was. And yes I miss all the costumes, the makeup, the stage, the adrenaline… but not the lifestyle,” she said. “It was a fast life, and I certainly took my body for granted. Between late-night parties, airport food and a non-existent sleep schedule, my health was hanging on by a thread,” she added.

But it wasn’t until she was taken offstage during a performance due to intense pain that she finally realized how poorly she was taking care of herself.

Her own journey to recovery became her inspiration, and while she found the unique balance her body and mind craved to live in harmonious alignment, she made it her purpose to teach others. 

 After 5 years of studying the body and mind to become a registered Nutritionist and Wellness Coach,  she came to realize that “self-care is not just baths, bubbles and beauty routines, it’s a holistic understanding of what your body, mind and spirit need to thrive.”

Isa opened her own business and now provides nutrition, wellness and pilate coaching to clients but also teaches the benefits of a balanced mind body and spirit on her YouTube channel. There you can learn 5 easy and healthy breakfast recipes or do a beginners pilates class in the comfort of your home.
