Well ladies, we’re more than halfway through hot girl summer and it’s time for a quick check in! As the first official post-quarantine summer, we’re all deserving of some serious fun in the sun! So we’ve compiled the only list you’ll ever need to make sure that you’re on track...
1. Safety first...we’re still in a pandemic
We’ll keep it short and sweet on this one - do what you gotta do to keep yourself (and those around you) safe. Wear a mask, get vaccinated, use a condom, stay healthy!
2. Keep your calendar on point...don’t double-book!
After being stuck in the house for over a year, it makes sense that your calendar is FULL! But make sure to pad those 🍑📱appointments so you’re not left with some awkward questions to answer.
3. Brush up on your game
You might find after all that time in sweatpants and a bonnet that you’re a little rusty on your pick up game. But don’t worry...once you pull out that little black dress, it’ll all come back to you!
4. Flaunt that body
Whether you’ve spent quarantine hitting the gym or eating all the snacks, hot girl summer is all about loving the body that you’re in! So 🤬the haters and show off what you’re working with!
5. Don’t forget to make time for your girls
Let’s be honest, Facetime and group chats can only go so far when it comes to a good old fashioned girls night. Make sure you’re still making time for your day-ones and catching up on all the tea in-person 🐸☕️
6. Self-care, self-care, self-care!
Finding balance is always a challenge, but in order to maximize your summer antics it’s important to take care of yourself. Hydrate, mediate, throw in some retail therapy, relax, repeat! 💦🧘🏾♀️🛍 🧖🏾♀️
7. Start prepping for cuffing season
One of the most common mistakes hot girl’s make in the summer is to not plan ahead. Cuffing season will sneak up on you really fast, so it’s probably a good idea to start those 🍆 auditions early.
