Tanzania is the home away from home you never knew you needed
I’ll admit that it is difficult for me to write about Tanzania objectively as I’ve considered it my home away from home for almost two decades now. Apart from the strong ties my family has to the country, including but not limited to our ‘home-base’, it is also a place where I spent a large chunk of my formative years from the ages of 8 to 18. My annual pilgrimage to Arusha, the picturesque city that spreads at the foot of Mount Meru, has resulted in this destination being my most frequently visited country - and I would have it no other way.
I always describe Tanzania as the country that has it all: some of the best safari destinations in the world; Zanzibar’s breathtaking beaches; its peaceful, welcoming people; urban landscapes, and the types of views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro that boggle the mind with its beauty.
But don’t take my word for it - I’ll let the photos do the talking!
