Experience the Boricua energy of Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico meaning 'rich port' in Spanish, is a beautiful island in the Caribbean and an unincorporated territory of the United States. As I touched down in San Juan for a much-needed escape from reality, I anticipated a different kind of Carribean vacation. My first impression as we pulled out of the airport was an appreciation for the distinctly urban vibe that San Juan presented. The familiar feel of a bustling city against the coastal backdrops that any lover of the Caribbean craves was a welcome change.

As the days went by, I was struck by the sheer variety in stunning scenery and experiences that the island had to offer. It became increasingly clear why Puerto Rico is often described as ‘small in size, but rich in culture.’ The Boricua (a term used to describe Puerto Ricans) energy was palpable from the flavorful food and tasty drinks to the pride with which the people I encountered welcomed me to their home. Boasting a uniqueness that stands out from any other island, Live Boricua! is a call to action you won’t want to miss.
