Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) announced the launch of the Trinidad Fashion Festival themed Dis Is We Style, which will debut in May 2024. The announcement was made at a preview event held in Queen's Hall, Port of Spain that took place on 26 May and featured a celebration of Trinidad and Tobago's thriving fashion industry. The event also featured music, dance and theatrical performances, as well as an art display of dessert sauces curated by celebrity Chef Natasha De Bourg also known as ‘The Classy Chef’.

Described by TTL as “an annual extravaganza that celebrates the unique style and boundless creativity of Trinidad and Tobago’s fashion industry,” the Festival will be a week-long showcase of the country’s fashion industry trailblazers. It is part of Tourism Trinidad’s efforts to support and amplify the work of homegrown designers.

“We are truly thrilled to unveil this remarkable event, which exemplifies the talent and ingenuity of our local fashion industry,” said Carla Cupid, TTL’s CEO. “Our talents are world class, and we need to start creating space locally to invite the world to come and enjoy it.”

The Festival will feature fashion and arts-centered events, runway shows, workshops and exhibitions. It is part of TTL’s larger strategy to build on the popularity of the country’s infamous carnival celebrations.

“In keeping with our mantra that Trinidad is always in season, we are finally making this a firmer reality with our festivals schedule,” said Cupid.
