Have your 24-karat gold and eat it too, Saint Aymes sisters cater to luxurious taste buds

In 2015, sisters Lois and Michela Wilson began their entrepreneurial journey, specializing in creating luxurious desserts. Their chocolate delicacies, featuring edible 24-karat gold, garnered much-deserved attention and were featured at the Saatchi Gallery during London Fashion Week. Their chocolates were soon stocked by major retailers around the UK.

Following their initial wholesale success with chocolates, they turned their attention to creating an in-person experience where they could showcase their delicious creations to their growing consumer base. Although born in London, the sisters are of Bajan and Jamaican heritage, and ultimately named Saint Aymes after their grandparents Eric and Thyra Aymes, who immigrated to the UK in the 1950s.

“What we see Saint Aymes as, is more of an experience brand. This idea of having the audacity to live each moment, or everyday moments, to their most maximum potential of beauty and excellence for no justification,” said Lois Wilson when describing their business philosophy.

“You shouldn’t need a reason to have gold in your coffee. You shouldn’t need a reason to feel special, or feel happy.”

Repeatedly recognized as the ‘prettiest cafe in London’, Saint Aymes’ founders have successfully evolved and expanded their luxury desserts into a full-service, coveted dining experience featuring beautiful floral arrangements, multi-course brunches, afternoon teas, and customized private events.

The founders are just getting started and are looking to bring the Saint Aymes experience to a global audience. They have recently had several pop-up shops in Japan, and are pursuing franchising opportunities in the United States, UAE and beyond.
