Virgil Abloh, fashion designer and ultimate trendsetter dies at 41

Fashion designer Virgil Abloh passed away on November 28, 2021 after a two-year battle with cancer.

The trendsetter was known for his innovative approach to fashion and his realistic representation of the world drawing upon themes of racial identity, gender fluidity and inclusivity.

Abloh was also known for becoming Louis Vuitton’s first Black creative director in 2018 and for putting luxury streetwear on the map with his label Off-White.

The creator was born near Chicago to Ghanian parents. Abloh died at the age of 41 and is survived by his wife Shanon Abloh and his children Lowe Abloh and Grey Abloh.
