Streetwear fashion inspired by Serena Williams’ most memorable tennis outfits

With Serena retiring from competitive singles tennis, I’ve decided to pay homage to the G.O.A.T. of not just tennis, but serving FASHION on and off the court. Now some of these outfits didn’t always go over too well with the judges (HATERS) but the outfits captured not only our ‘style eye’ but Serena’s will to win against all odds. And let's face it, we all need to be a little fearless in life and in our clothing! #AudaciousAlways

Serena gave shine bright like a diamond *Cue RiRi* in this sparkly black tennis dress in her 2022 US open match. Even though this will be her last professional match playing singles, she lost no time in making sure she left a little sparkle on the court. You too can add a little sparkle into your wardrobe with these pieces.

Talk about stepping out and stepping up! Serena took EVERYTHING (including the win) in this outfit for the 2021 Australian Open. Paying homage to track and field G.O.A.T., Florence “Flo-Jo” Joyner, it’s the color-blocking, one full length/one biker short unitard for me! Take inspiration from this bold choice and give your outfit (and yourself) the ability to be bold effortlessly.

Worn during the 2018 U.S. Open, Serena rocked this divine look in which she collaborated with the late Virgil Abloh and his brand Off-White. Even though Serena lost the Open title to another G.O.A.T. in the making, Naomi Osaka, the light, airiness of the outfit was a welcomed compliment to her calculated and skilled game play. Here’s to giving angelic vibes everywhere you go!

Though she did not win the 2018 French open, Serena still showed how to bring grace and strength into the oftentimes prejudiced world of competitive tennis. After a 14-month hiatus from the sport following the birth of her daughter Olympia, Serena noted that this black Nike spandex outfit made her “feel like a warrior in it, like a warrior princess kind of, (a) queen from Wakanda… I feel like a superhero when I wear it.” Let this outfit inspo make you feel like a superhero even without the cape (or the racket).
